A cigarette end. Balkan Sobranie. Gold filter, lipstick stained.
Sodden tissue, blotted with scarlet lips pursed for a kiss.
A rose, red, long-stemmed, crushed under foot.
A severed photograph, roughly torn.
Pieces caught by the wind...a man and a woman, laughing.
A newspaper, spreading its pages, gathers round a foot.
Unaware, in the dark, on a bench, a man sitting.
Eyes glistening in the lamplight.
